I’ve started making a new summer crochet blanket. This feels good. I’ve really struggled to be creative since mid March, when the lockdown started. Projects have been left untouched, apart from my simple blue jumper, which is straightforward.
This project is more fun. I’m choosing colours and deciding the sequence. I absolutely love the colours. A real taste of summer. Also, the yarn is WYS Colour Lab, which is 100% wool and british. The wool is reared, sheared and spun in the UK, which is something I can really get behind.
(Blue, teal, lime and pink)
This project is going to keep me busy in those odd moments and, in the process, wrap a bit of summer up ready to bring out in the winter.

How pretty is that! what a good idea.
The colours feel like a slice of summer.
Such lovely colours! I am sure you’re going to enjoy making this. #MMBC
How true. I love the whole process of making something like this. I’ll love the blanket, but I do enjoy the journey.
Adore your colour choices. Cannot wait to see the finished piece. #MMBC
The colours are fab!
I love the colors and would enjoy this all year long. Beautiful! #MMBC
Yes, I think I’ll enjoy it too.
Your new blanket looks fab. I love the colours too. I can’t wait to see the end result. x
It is a fun project.
This is lovely! I used to be able to crochet like that but I’ve forgotten how to do it. I guess it would be pretty easy to pick it up again through YouTube videos.

I’m sure it will come back to you, given half a chance.
I love choosing colours for projects, I can almost feel that wool, it looks so nice. I stress about sewing all the pieces together though. I can’t wait to see your finished blanket.
I’m tempted to join as I go, although I’m notorious for changing my mind about the layout half way through, which may be a problem.
Oh my goodness! It’s so pretty! I love the colors! I can’t wait to see the finished blanket. And I can always get behind something (yarn in this case) that is made start to finish locally…or within my country (USA for me)….not sure how to say that really?!?! LOL.
Isn’t it the way? Makes so much sense to support our local farmers.
