The girls finished their penguin bags (tutorial) today. We cut the flaps to pull out the tins and serve as a top for each bag. They sewed on black wooden beads for the penguins’ eyes, as the seed beads, that we thought we would use, just looked lost when we tried them. The felted finger knitted straps were sewn on.
I had to grab these photos quickly, before both girls ran off. They like having their masterpieces photographed, but not for long. I may try and sneak the bags off them later and take better photos at leisure, as I’m afraid I have not done them credit.
Please forgive my proud mother moment, but I am genuinely proud of how their creations turned out. Their use of felting is growing and their ideas too. It may be my imagination but I think they are walking taller as well.
