Going into school today, to make apple sauce cinnamon ornaments with the youngest class. Hope I’ve got all I need.
Apple sauce…cinnamon…cutters…glue….ready made ornaments to show….backup mixture already mixed….bowl…spoon…measuring jugs…straw…plastic bags….fish slice.
Everything but the kitchen sink!! I’ll let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
I’m sending Good luck wishes …but by now they should be totally unnecessary and I’m sure they all had a Great time !!!!!
Did you survive …?
Actually I’m sure it went fine and you did a Great job and are just darn busy ..so I’m just sending Best wishes :0)
If only I had taken the kitchen sink….no, just joking…it went really well. All the children were so lovely to work with. Hopefully I should be going in again next term as well. I meant to come back earlier to let you know how it went, but a combination of bad photographing light (still suffering from that) and trying to clear my desk before the holidays start, just stopped me. If only I could play all day…..
Good luck from us too – hope it went well! 😀
Yes. It worked out really well. I’d probably choose smaller cutters next time. They patted the dough out between two layers of plastic, which I’m glad we did. I think everyone went home smelling of cinnamon. So different doing any crafting with a class of children rather than just my three.
One of my favorite Christmas crafts!! I love the texture, the color… the SMELL! Heavenly.
Blessings, Debbie
The smell is gorgeous. I kept bumping into other teachers, who commented about how nice the classroom smelt. Good fun!
