There are only two questions:
who is Si and β¦β¦β¦.
why, in the name of all that is good,Β is he wandering around the countryside signing fly agarics?

Ha ha, May be a SI…gn to stay clear of this beauty!
Missing letters. Hadn’t thought of the word “sign”. What stopped the culprit?
How bizarre! Although my first impression was to read it the other way as ’15’. Not that that makes any more sense!
It was in the middle of an overgrown disabled parking space, so a number would make sense.
You don’t think it’s that insect there? And maybe he wrote “is” – sort of like, “Kilroy was here” – ??
I like it. A cry for their existence to be acknowledged.
It was clearly written by that shifty-looking mosquito.
I think he was framed.
Ha ha, that is a very good question! I think he got bored and couldn’t be bothered to finish writing his name – Simon.
My first thought was Simon too. Let’s hope he got bored and not taken tragically ill.
What a bright bold colour, I love the detail you’ve captured
Have a good Sunday and thank you for joining in with #MySundayPhoto
If ever there was a subject for bold, bright colour, it has to be the fly agaric.
Or maybe IS is tagging mushrooms. Incredible color and texture.
Oww! Short for Issy, maybe. Good point, although it does open up the number of possible culprits.
you know I didn’t even notice ‘Si’ at first lol, that is so weird, now you have got me thinking of a little elf-like creature signing his name on fly agarics lol #MySundayPhoto
I like your thinking about the elf-like creature. Like carving initials on the school desk. If only we could have seen it.
Lol, well spotted though
Can’t resist photographing a fly agaric.
OMG I have been looking for one of these to photograph for years. I’ve never found one! I’m quite angry that Si (whoever he may be) has graffitied this one LOOOOL
Ha! A bit mischievous. It’s the right time of year. Birch and pine trees are a good bet. I suspect we’ve got good at finding them over the years. Hope you find one this year.
So pretty with the woodland vibes X #mysundayphoto
So many fungi this year.
Lol, how funny. Turn it up the other way and it is 15, but 15 what? Mich x #MySundayPhoto
Maybe the answer to the ultimate question of life, the Universe, and everything was not 42.
Great capture – gets you thinking; curious indeed. I would’ve thought 15 as opposed to SI. #MySundayPhoto
Or is that what Si wants you to think? π
What a beauty. I think S I are the initials of the fairy who lives inside it. I have never seen a red mushroom like this out in the wild. That must be why fairies are endangered π #mmbc
Good point. I’m sure the authorities should be told.
I havent seen anything like this in real life yet. Only in fairy tale so mushrooms like this is magical for me =)
Lovely shot!
#mysundayphoto
They are magical to me too. We search them out each year, but literally tripped over this one.
