Friday was earmarked in our calendar to make Jubilee bunting. We had the red, white and blue fabric at the ready. Come Friday morning…..good weather and other commitments made way for a change of plans. We headed to Bath and West show for the day. Instead of needles and thread, we enjoyed talking to lots of bee people, watching the pony club races, stone cutting, terrier racing, livestock exhibiting and so much more.
So no bunting …..yet.
Photos 1. cider entries 2. bee skeps 3. steam engines 4. sawing planks 5. showing sheep
That all looks so interesting! Love the skeps and the plank sawing…think you made the right decision, the bunting can always be made another day…
It was a lovely day out and so very interesting. I’m glad we went. The bunting is now almost made now and I’m sure will be brought out at every single opportunity in the future. Never wasted! 😀
I love those skeps Cheryl, they look great. Now, just to overcome the worry of bee stings…lol!
They had a wonderful tent dedicated to honey and bees. So much information and a great demo on honey bees. Well worth going just for the bees.
oh goodness what wonderful photos! what a fun day you all must have had!
i love those skeps!
The skeps are such a lovely shape. 😀
