Anyone who sews, whether a dressmaker or a quilter, will know what this is. It’s as much a tool of the trade as needles and thread. Most people let out a groan as they reach for it. A necessary evil. A foreboder of error. For this is the seam ripper. The tool to undo a stitching mistake.
But maybe I should see it in a different way. I mean it does give me a chance to correct a mistake. Difficult to appreciate when it adds valuable time to a project, but some mistakes need to be amended.
Joining this up to the wonderful #AlphabetPhoto linky. My U is for unpicking. I tasked myself this week, to take a photo of a mundane object and make it slightly more likeable, or interesting, without distracting too much from it. What do you think? Did I do it? Or is everyone looking at the thread instead?
I love the image, it’s really pretty, definitely makes the ‘unpicker’ (!) seem more friendly 🙂
You are kind Sara! I guess the thread softens the image a bit. 🙂
I am very well aquainted with my unpicker! It is a very useful gadget but I wish I never had to use it 🙂
Ditto that. Yes, it would be more than wonderful if I never needed to use it again. If only!
