For some reason, the bumble bees seem more determined to visit the poppies when they closed up in the evening. More of a challenge. Once inside they buzz as if they stuck, only to reappear in no time.
This bumble buzzed me after a while, so I backed off. It was just posturing rather than being agressive. Soon went back to the poppy.
I love watching them. Regular readers please forgive me for yet another photo of a poppy. I can’t resist. They don’t last long and I am enjoying them.

I loved these large poppies when we had our allotment, you just never knew where they were going to pop up each year as they seeded so easily.

Busy busy bee…I watched and photographed a busy bee visiting a peony in my garden and it went into the petals around the outside. Until then I had no idea that there was pollen stored there. These bee’s really know their stuff!
