Mother's Day arrives early

mothers day

My first Mother’s Day present of the year. TF came home from kindergarten clutching a beautiful pansy in a carefully decorated pot. He was so proud of his work, although he was confused about who it was for. Before he left, his teacher asked him to pick out his plant. “His” and “for Mummy” are difficult to sort out when you are 2.5 years old. I think we have got there. I should add that Mother’s Day in the UK is this Sunday.

Between homework and after school clubs, we didn’t  get a chance to thread the felt beads that we made yesterday. On the upside, AJ has found a way to destash my embroidery silks.

friendship bracelet

Yes, she has discovered friendship bracelets. I love her excitement and just think, I’m going to have more room in my sewing box.

  1. Oh my, how cute is that pansy?!?! I remember making friendship bracelets too, probably at that age. I’ve never seen them made like that though, looks really interesting. Bet you’ll hvae loads of them soon.

    1. AJ came back from an after school club with the ring for making friendship bracelets. I had to find a clip on YouTube to figure out how to use it. Current total of bracelets are 4, I think, but she is getting alarmingly fast at it.
